Former OBITUARY Bassist FRANK WATKINS Dies At 47

Former longtime Obituary bassist Frank Watkins died earlier today after a battle with cancer. He was only 47 years old. Watkins joined the band in 1989, shortly after the release of their landmark debut, Slowly We Rot and remained in the band until 2010. He had been playing with Gorgoroth since 2007 under the name of “Bøddel” which means “Executioner” in Norweigan. Watkins also ran Back From the Dead Productions, which helped promote bands.
